…the history…

Our family-operated business dates back to 1957 when Mario De Checchi opened a small furniture renovation and installation workshop. Later, construction and transformation jobs were commissioned for various profiles and furnishing panels by third parties. Skirting board construction began at the beginning of the 1980's.
Only solid plinths were processed, hand painted one by one, leading us down the road to more specialised and industrialised production: the first multi-blade panel saw, the first moulding machine, the first paint system; the business slowly grew and, in 1988, thanks to Luciano’s intuition, the first lamination system was introduced: the veneered skirting board came to life.
Our company was the first to put the classic “82x13” profile on the market, laminated with various types of finishes. This was the beginning of unstoppable growth.
Our first warehouse opened and is still one of our company philosophy strong points.

We began laminate the first plinths with synthetic material such as PVC and paper in the year 2000: the road towards a new type of profile was already paved and production of the “Promonwood” line, the veneered skirting board with single-layer melamine, was already launched.

The first brushed and oil treated finishes immediately followed, the "Trattline" support column line, a skirting board treated with special paint processes. “Unydeco” was launched in 2006. The company specialises in alloy (aluminium, brass, steel) profile production and transformation for hard wood flooring installation and finishes and furniture accessories that now boast a wide range of ready-made products.

Unydeco continually works with De Checchi Luciano and the partnership and combined efforts of the two companies has led to the production of high-tech and aesthetically innovative products over the last year.

This is the reason why we can now guarantee a convenient level of drying and good profile processing combined with immediate responses to the problems and questions that may arise.

One our company’s strengths is our high level of quality: materials chosen with care, continuous investments in advanced technology, including the latest processed profile inspection and review system with high definition video cameras, full production process automation including the impressive introduction of applied robotics, production lot markings and thus traceability of all processed profiles, personnel training with refresher courses: all this conducted according to ISO:9001 corporate certification standards that guarantee our product quality and certainty of long-lasting service.

…the future…

We don’t neglect the future where many challenges await us including the design of skirting board and technical profiles increasingly more fitted to our world. “Woodled” is the firs example of a “domotic" skirting board that will gain popularity since it is a product that furnishes.
A skirting board that interacts with its surrounding environment. "Woodled" is only the beginning of the evolution of skirting boards from static profiles to highly enjoyable technical, aesthetic and functional solutions! At the same time, development continues on the “Duallwood” line, highly popular in recent months.

The idea of combining a wooden skirting board with technical profiles made of various alloys and finishes is what the new millennium home will require in the near future: no longer simple even and static plinths, but profile that can transmit feelings and that match modern furnishings.
In addition to the development of our profile range, we are growing as a business: the expansion of our warehouse in March doubled product storage space, reinforcing our intention to deliver ordered materials within “24/48” hours, thus solving storage problems and costs for our customers.
Our warehouse will become our customers' warehouse, providing them with over two thousand different items divided between skirting boards and profiles.

Our partnership continues with our sister company, Unydeco, through which the installation technician can resolve installation problems with technical profiles made of a wide variety of materials.
